Job Description

At Stylist, we're passionate about creating content that informs, inspires and connects with our audience. We're looking for a talented Newsletter Editor to lead the strategy, creation and performance of our growing newsletter portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for an editorial professional who understands how to build engaged audiences through compelling email content. You'll take ownership of Stylist's newsletters, developing content strategies that drive subscriber growth, engagement, retention and commercial performance while ensuring everything we produce reflects the voice, values and quality standards of the Stylist brand.

You'll oversee the end-to-end production of key newsletter products including Stylist Loves, The Village, The Watch List, Sunday Supplement, Well by Stylist, and future launches. Working closely with Editorial, Commercial, Marketing and Creative teams, you'll ensure newsletters are delivered to an exceptional standard and continue to evolve based on audience insight and performance data.

A key part of the role will be leading Stylist's affiliate content strategy across email channels. You'll identify opportunities to create valuable commerce-led content that resonates with readers, drives revenue growth and maintains the trust and integrity that our audience expects from the brand.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the editorial planning, commissioning, editing, production and scheduling of Stylist's newsletter portfolio.
  • Develop engaging newsletter content that supports audience growth, retention and loyalty.
  • Own newsletter performance, using data, audience insight and testing to improve open rates, click-through rates and overall engagement.
  • Create and deliver Stylist's affiliate content strategy across newsletters and subscriber communications.
  • Manage affiliate activity and promotional budgets to maximise commercial return and deliver revenue targets.
  • Partner with Editorial, Marketing, Commercial and Creative teams to deliver integrated campaigns and audience initiatives.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, legally compliant, fact-checked, proofread and aligned with Stylist's tone of voice.
  • Monitor industry trends, audience behaviour and newsletter best practice to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Lead subject-line testing, content experimentation and performance optimisation initiatives.
  • Commission and manage contributors to deliver high-quality editorial content.

Requirements

We're looking for someone who combines strong editorial judgement with a data-driven approach to audience development.

You'll bring

  • Significant experience in editorial, content or newsletter publishing within a digital media environment.
  • Proven experience planning, editing and publishing high-quality email content that delivers measurable audience engagement.
  • Strong understanding of newsletter strategy, subscriber growth, retention and audience development.
  • Experience using analytics and performance data to inform content decisions and optimisation strategies.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, audience segmentation and newsletter performance metrics.
  • Experience creating affiliate, commerce or revenue-generating editorial content.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of digital publishing workflows and content management processes.
  • Experience managing multiple deadlines and balancing editorial, audience and commercial priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across Editorial, Marketing, Commercial and Creative teams.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence managing budgets, targets and performance outcomes.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence, challenge and work effectively across functions.

You'll thrive in this role if you

  • Are passionate about creating content that genuinely resonates with audiences.
  • Enjoy using data and insight to drive editorial decisions.
  • Are curious about emerging trends, audience behaviours and digital publishing innovation.
  • Take ownership of outcomes and consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • Embrace experimentation and continuously look for ways to improve performance.
  • Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
