Content creation:
Pitch and write timely, high-quality news stories and original content under tight deadlines.
Anchor and develop engaging, data-driven short-form vertical videos for social media.
Anchor a weekly podcast show discussing top events in crypto, blockchain, and business news.
Reporting and interviewing:
Conduct on-camera interviews with key industry figures, policymakers, and analysts.
Deliver real-time coverage of breaking news and events that impact the markets.
Report from major industry events, conferences, and summits across the region.
Collaboration and optimization:
Collaborate closely with the Editor and the social media team to host daily live sessions and interview experts.
Optimize content using SEO best practices.
Monitor social media to quickly produce breaking news copy.
Requirements
1+ year of journalism experience, with a strong preference for multimedia and business journalism covering FinTech, Crypto, and Web3.
On-camera experience is preferred, especially with social media videos.
Knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and Web3.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and cover breaking news
Videography and editing skills would be an added advantage
Excellent news writing and verbal communication skills.
