Join Auckland Council’s Network Support Team; a unique hybrid role where no two shifts are the same. You’ll move across our leisure centres supporting lifeguarding, customer service, recreation programmes, and fitness operations. You'll enjoy a variable schedule that allows you to work across different sites, supporting lifeguarding and customer support functions.
This is perfect for experienced lifeguards or recreation professionals who want variety, flexibility, and the chance to make a real impact in their community.
What you’ll be doing:

We will provide ALL training for you free of charge and will pay for you to attend the training to enable you to get your qualifications.
We’re hiring for a few permanent part-time positions ranging from 16 to 24 hours. You’ll work on a variable fortnightly roster between 5am – 10pm, including at least one weekend day, across sites such as West Wave and North Shore centres (Birkenhead, Albany and more). Our ideal candidate will be able to work one weekend day of the week and have flexibility to work during the day.

You’re someone who:
We provide fully paid lifeguard training and cover the cost of your Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC).
You’ll just need to pass a pre-training swim assessment:
If you do not have a current PLPC or first aid certificate, you will need to attend the training from 6 July to 17 July at West Wave.
