Quality Launch Engineer is responsible for complying customer requirements for engineering changes in production plant; for supporting for launch of transfer projects in advanced quality planning phases; and for representing the customer voice.
The main missions of the role are:
LAUNCH:
o Apply Faurecia tools and standards for Program Management System and Engineering Change Management
o Identify the initial Program Quality objectives in Transfer projects, build up the quality management plan and ensure a regular follow-up
o Approving the "Production Validation Test" established by Engineering and ensuring its completion according to the program milestones in transfer and engineering changes lead.
o Lead the development and production process for measurement, checking and testing fixtures and gauges (Transfer and Engineering change)
o Compile the APQP and PPA (Production Part Approval) files, and supports the Plant Quality Engineer for the submission of the initial samples,
o including process validation audit for transfer programs and Engineering Changes
o Be responsible for conformity, perceived quality and traceability of any parts delivered to the customer all along the development phases 3 and 4
o Support Plant Quality Leader as necessary until the program is successfully transferred to Manufacturing (serial life).
Continuous Improvement:
o Achieve the Quality objectives - including Safety & Regulation, Environmental - such as the PPM, Scrap… including Perceived quality and cascade them to the internal and external suppliers (transfer programs and engineering changes)
o Monitor the objectives achievement through a risk assessment follow up based on FMEA (Failure mode and Effects Analysis), Special characteristics, capabilities, Tolerance stacks, PPM, etc… (transfer programs and engineering changes)
o Have the authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of serious non-conformance
o Update and improvements into the control plans (transfer programs and engineering changes).
o Support monitoring problem solving (QRCI) from launch projects (transfer programs and engineering changes)
o Have the authority to stop any process or product delivery in case of serious non-conformance
Support and participate in the creation of methods to ensure the performance of the site’s management systems.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Minimum education level: Engineer Bachelor or Technical Diploma with equivalent combination of education and experience.
