The Role:
Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking aNew Product Introduction(NPI)Engineerto join our team.Oursite manufacturesLiquidMicroContamination Control (LMC) membrane products such as ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UPE) membrane and other membrane products for Semi-conductor and Life Science industries.You willjoin ourteamto start up a new membrane operations plant. As part of this effort, you will drive the commissioning and qualifying of both processes and equipment for use in high volume production. Once product qualification and operation readiness for Rockrimmon UPE is achieved, your primary responsibility will be to drive the successful scaleup of products/processes from Development to Manufacturing utilizing a Stage gate Process and/orproduct transfer from one site to another
What You’ll Do
Work with an existingcross-functionalteam includingOperations,Membrane R&D,Quality,Equipment &Automation, Facilities, EH&S andProjectManagement to make our new plant a success.
Successful Validation and Qualification (V&Q) execution ofmembrane products
Lead efforts to guide theinstallationand commissioning of new production scale equipment, following typical IQ/OQ protocols
Be a hands-on Engineer to go out on the production floor and learn the process.Resolve day-to-day production/process issuesand drive issues to root cause
Develop and qualify membrane processes on new equipment to meet Key Performance Output Variables (KPOV) targets.
Statistical data analysis with MINITAB or other statistical software and capable of utilizing data for informed engineering related decision-making
Driveoperationreadiness of a new membrane manufacturing line
Develop and drive new solutions to existing membranemanufacturing challenges such as improving yield, increasing capacityand minimizing variation.
Be aProject/Technical Leaderfor assigned project and develop project plan,workclosely withmulticultural cross functional team and build consensus to drive projects to completion in a timely manner.
Provide documentation support such as creating/maintaining drawings, SOPs, testprocedures,andtest data.Prepare Process Documentation to support Product Launch and or Manufacturing.
Responsiblefor guidingtechnical evaluations, analysis, and implement process solutions to complex problems, enhancing our fully data-driven and risk-based thinking culture
Lead with influence across multi-disciplinary team
Can take on assignments with broad objectives where guidance is provided on critical issues only
The NPI Engineer will work closely with theR &Dteam to drive and execute improvements/solutions to help the team meet the product design and manufacturing requirements and stage gate commitments while keeping focus on safety and quality.
The NPI Engineer will also work directly with the Production/Operations cell team to ensuremanufacturingreadiness of the new product portfolio. You will engage with the Manufacturing Engineers, Supervisors, and Technicians to drive the successful transition of products from early development to product release.
Ability to prioritizeshort-termneeds of day-to-day production environment along withlong-termdeliverables and timelines
Manage Projects via the Accolade project application and drive others to complete tasks as required
Interface with global internal customers and sister facilities to align requirements, resolve issues, and ensure readiness for productlaunch
Manage customers or internal samples for Product Qualification builds.
Assists with analyses and audits processes to make recommendations on such items as safety, quality, cost, waste reductions, and efficiency.
Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and procedures.
Individualwill be required to spend few weeks at Bedford, MA site as a part of onboarding process to gain process knowledge to besuccessfulin this role for new Colorado Springs Manufacturing facility.
What We Seek
B.S or M.S. in Chemical/Materials/Mechanical engineering or related technical discipline
Minimum of2-3years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a significant amount of that time successfully leading processes and / or continuous improvement related initiatives.
Familiar with Statistical data analysis, Statistical Process Control, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Validation & Qualification processes
Must have both strong hands-on experience and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities quickly based on business needs
Must have some flexibility in work schedule during initial start-up to meet the demands of project schedule. After plant start-up is complete,I expectschedule to return to normal business hours
OutstandingCandidatesWillHave
Experience in lean manufacturing and/or six sigma certifications would be a plus
Experience in membrane manufacturing, polymer twin-screw extrusion, web handling or thin film processing or non-woven manufacturing processes
Data analysis with MINITAB or similar statistical software would be a plus

Compensation: $90,000 - 100,000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
