About Menlo

Menlo Research is an Applied R&D lab building Asimov, an open-source humanoid robot platform, and the full software stack that powers it. Our mission is to make humanoid labor economically viable, turning software into physical labor at scale. We build across the full stack: hardware architecture, locomotion, autonomy, simulation, and infrastructure. We move fast, ship to real robots, and open-source everything we can. The Role

Own visual storytelling at Menlo. Develop ideas and bring them to life, from everyday lab footage to full launch productions. Help people understand what we're building and care about what they can do with it.

What You'll Do

• Create videos around product releases, engineering progress, and customer projects.
• Bring original ideas and take them through production.
• Give our content a consistent look and feel.
• Spend time with the technical team to understand what's worth showing and why it matters.
• Work with Growth to test formats and learn what people watch, share, and respond to.
• Shoot and edit end to end, from capturing footage in the lab to the final cut.
• Run the content calendar and keep a steady flow of work going out across our channels.
• Capture the real moments of building a humanoid, the wins and the messy in-progress ones.

What We Look For

• Hands-on video production and editing skills, with the judgment to know when a quick clip or a larger production is needed
• A strong sense of story, pacing, and what works on each platform
• Initiative to find stories and produce work without waiting for a detailed brief
• An AI-native approach. You keep up with new models and tools, test them, and use what improves your work
• A portfolio that shows you can make people feel something, not just a reel of clean edits
• Comfort working fast in public at an early-stage company where things change week to week

Nice to Have

• Experience telling stories in hardware, robotics, deep tech, or another visually rich technical space
• Motion graphics, design, or photography chops
• An existing audience or a track record of growing a channel from scratch
• Comfort in front of the camera as well as behind it
