
Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in sciences, marine disciplines, or engineering or
Marine First Class Certificate of Competency
Knowledge and/or Experience*
10 years seagoing experience as a shipboard engineer or sea officer,
including 2 years as Chief Engineer or Master
Experienced in handling/managing offshore marine units operating in
the oil and gas industry.
Broad and extensive knowledge of critical marine operations including
offshore installation and construction vessels and barges, heavy lifts,
transportation, pipe and cable lay, jack-up accommodation barges,
dive support vessels.
Knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Systems & Operations, DP FMEA
Analysis, DP FMEA Proving Trials, Annual DP Trials, ASOG/CAM.
Experienced in managing marine safety and quality assurance &
compliance processes, following corporate requirements and
international standards.
High knowledgeable in International Maritime Regulations, Codes and
Standards.
Experience within the Middle East region is advantageous.
Previous Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) and Marine Consultancy
experience is advantageous.
International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) accreditation &
certification is preferred.
Local and international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, SOLAS,
MARPOL, ISM Code).
