St. Mary's Health Care System is currently recruiting New Graduate Nurses for various nursing opportunities at Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Georgia.
New Graduate Nurses are automatically placed into our New Graduate Residency Program upon passing NCLEX which is structured with bi-weekly educational sessions that helps empower successful transition into clinical practice. Each session includes a didactic portion and hand-on skill portion. The program is an evidenced-based program that focuses on leadership, quality outcomes, and the professional nurse role.
We provide resources in a supporting environment that will help develop decision making and critical thinking skills. The New Graduate Nurse/Nurse Extern II participates in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation; assists in co ordinating the patient’s interdisciplinary plan of care; participates in providing patient and family teaching; utilizes an age-specific developmental approach in the care of patients from infants to geriatrics; maintains standards of professional nursing practice and collaborates with the health care team in promoting quality care for all patients. Job responsibilities may also include Unit Secretary or Clinical Technician duties.
