Tower 8 is a 30 bed Trauma Unit in the Level 1 Trauma Center on Cleveland’s Eastside. Our patients include Trauma Activations – from the ED, PACU after surgery, the TSICU, and also transfers from other hospitals. Trauma impacts any age or body system. This allows for exposure to multiple specialties besides trauma including ortho, neuro, geriatric, and thoracic for example. Common Diagnoses Include Gunshot wounds, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Assaults, Falls, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Bone Fractures.
