Job Description

New Energy – Projects Talent Community

We’re delivering major infrastructure that will shape Western Australia’s energy future — and we’re always keen to connect with project professionals who want to help deliver complex, high-impact work.

By joining our New Energy – Projects Talent Community, you’ll be among the first to hear about new opportunities aligned to your project delivery experience. We don’t match roles based on job titles alone — we look at your skills, potential and what you bring to the table.

You’ll be pre-screened and aligned to curated talent pools, giving you early visibility of roles as they arise — often before they’re advertised. Many opportunities will support Clean Energy Link (CEL) and broader new energy programs across development and delivery.

Opportunities Across Levels & Expertise

(including but not limited to)

  • Project Managers / Senior Project Managers
  • Project Coordinators / Project Support
  • Project Planners / Schedulers / PMO support
  • Cost / Commercial / Project Controls (role-dependent)

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Strong project delivery fundamentals (planning, governance, documentation, reporting cadence)
  • Experience in infrastructure / utilities / energy transition environments (helpful but not always essential)
  • Stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate across technical SMEs
  • Comfort working in structured governance and fast-moving, multi-stream programs
  • Alignment to our values, a desire to grow, and a commitment to delivering outcomes safely and reliably

By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future. We are dedicated to fostering career development and promoting a healthy work-life balance, empowering you to drive innovation as we develop a network that will serve the Western Australian community for generations.

  • Grow with us – we’re serious about internal talent; we’ll help you shape a clear career path and support your development every step of the way.
  • In addition to standard leave, enjoy three wellness leave days each year.
  • The opportunity to purchase up to four weeks of additional leave per year.
  • Access to salary packaging, social club activities, and discounted health insurance and gym membership.
  • An award-winning employee recognition and benefits programme.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking finance team – we’re driving innovation, supporting bold change, and helping deliver real impact for the Energy Transition & decarbonisation.

We value diversity and inclusivity, encouraging applications from all backgrounds, including women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Find out more about our Reconciliation Action Plan and Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.
