Job Description

Join a team that helps businesses thrive!

At Old Mill, we believe business is about people.

Whether we're supporting a start-up taking its first steps or helping an established business plan for the future, our focus is always the same – building trusted relationships and making a real difference to our clients.

We're looking for a New Business Account Executive to be the first point of contact for prospective clients and help them discover how Old Mill can support their goals.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people, uncovering opportunities and building meaningful relationships. You'll play a key role in connecting businesses with the right experts across our firm, helping to create positive experiences from the very first conversation.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the welcoming face of Old Mill for many prospective clients, managing enquiries and guiding opportunities through the early stages of the client journey.

Day to day, you'll:

· Respond to and qualify inbound new business enquiries

· Build relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and ambitions

· Identify opportunities to introduce businesses to the right specialists across Old Mill

· Generate and nurture new business opportunities through networking, referrals and proactive outreach

· Maintain an organised pipeline of opportunities and follow-up activity

· Attend events and networking opportunities, representing Old Mill within the business community

What we're looking for

We need someone who has a good knowledge and understanding of accountancy practices and how they apply to businesses. We would like to find someone who shares our values and enjoys building genuine connections.

You'll bring:

· Experience in a client-facing, business development, sales or account management role

· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

· Confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers

· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and pipelines

· A naturally curious approach and a desire to understand how businesses work

· A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership

· Good commercial awareness and an interest in helping businesses succeed

Knowledge of professional services, accountancy or financial advice would be beneficial, but is not essential.

Why Old Mill?

We're proud of the culture we've built.

A place where people are trusted, supported and encouraged to be themselves. Where collaboration matters more than hierarchy. And where everyone has the opportunity to grow, develop and make an impact.

You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team where people are encouraged to take ownership, share ideas and continue developing their skills.

This is a role that offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to a growing business whilst working alongside experienced finance professionals.

If you're looking for your next challenge and enjoy being part of a team that genuinely works together, we'd love to hear from you.

If you have any questions about this role or require additional support in order to apply, then please reach out to kaz.austen@om.uk
