The Semmes Murphey Clinic is launching a state-of-the-art NeuroVascular Center (NVC), a outpatient facility designed to deliver advanced minimally invasive neurovascular care in a patient-centered, highly efficient environment. Located on our Humphreys campus, the NVC brings together cutting-edge technology and a mission-driven care team dedicated to improving the lives of patients with neurological illnesses.

As we move through the planning and opening phases, you’ll partner with our clinical leadership team to design workflows, build vendor relationships, and assist our nurse manager. This role offers a rare opportunity for an experienced technologist to step into a leadership position in neurovascular radiology while enjoying a position with no call, weekends, or nights.

Prior to the opening of the center, you’ll also work alongside our ambulatory surgery center radiology team as you become immersed in the Semmes Murphey culture and outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with outside vendors regarding equipment and supplies
• Collaborate with the nurse manager and Perioperative Services Director in construction and technical planning stages
• Oversee, maintain, and troubleshoot the equipment, including biplane/fluoro systems and related software
• Develop and implement, along with nurse manager, protocols, safety standards, and workflow process for the new center
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, radiation safety, and accreditation standards
• Responsible for the stocking and ordering of supplies used in the Center during procedures
• Assist NVC Manager in the hiring and training of new radiology technologists

Requirements

Minimum:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five (5) years' experience in neurointerventional radiology or vascular setting
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) Certification
• Licensed in the State of Tennessee as a medical x-ray operator
• Active BLS certification

Preferred

• Prior supervisory experience
• Active ACLS certification

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), electronic medical records (EMR), medical practice software and internet applications
• Can identify ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency without sacrificing quality and accuracy
• Possesses understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers in both positive and negative situations
• Can provide excellent customer service with a high level of confidentiality and discretion
• Ability to make frequent judgements and respond to routine problems, as well as disasters or emergencies (both drills and actual events)
