Job Title: Senior Registrar – Neurosurgery

SHORT DESCRIPTION

An excellent opportunity to join a leading hospital in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia as a Senior Registrar in Neurosurgery

We are seeking qualified neurosurgeons currently based in Egypt who are interested in relocating to Saudi Arabia. Physical interviews will be conducted in Egypt.

The Senior Registrar – Neurosurgery will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The role includes participation in elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures, perioperative patient management, and collaboration with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad range of neurosurgical conditions.
• Participate in elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures according to experience and clinical privileges.
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Manage neurosurgical emergencies, including head trauma, spinal trauma, and acute neurological conditions.
• Participate in inpatient, outpatient, and on-call services as required.
• Collaborate with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Review and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including CT, MRI, and other neurological imaging studies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation.
• Support and supervise junior physicians and residents where appropriate.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities.
• Adhere to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and SCFHS regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Medical degree (MBBCh/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
• Egyptian Board, MD, Fellowship, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized qualification in Neurosurgery
• Eligible for Senior Registrar classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
• DataFlow verification required.

Professional Experience

• Relevant experience in Neurosurgery.
• Experience managing both elective and emergency neurosurgical cases.
• Exposure to cranial, spinal, trauma, and neurocritical care cases is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a tertiary care or recognized hospital setting is preferred.
• Current medical license in Egypt or country of practice.

Language

• Proficiency in English is required.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage.

References

• Strong professional references from Consultants, Department Heads, or senior medical supervisors.
• References should demonstrate clinical competence, professionalism, teamwork, and suitability for a Senior Registrar Neurosurgery position.
