Job Description

CHOC Specialists is a private pediatric subspecialty group with 26 pediatric subspecialties. The group practices at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) which is a premier healthcare system based in Orange County, Calif. CHOC is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach and research that brings advanced treatment to pediatric patients.

Pediatric Neurosurgeon

The CHOC Specialists’ Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery is seeking a faculty member to join an active and collegial group. Our highly experienced, board-certified pediatric neurosurgeons provide innovative and compassionate care to treat neurological disease in children. The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery treats the full spectrum of neurological conditions and injuries and has several specialty programs, including a comprehensive epilepsy program, concussion clinic, maternal fetal evaluation, neurofibromatosis program, neuro-oncology program, as well as clinics for plagiocephaly, spasticity, spina bifida, and tuberous sclerosis. The Division is a member of a large multispecialty group with strong collaborations with other divisions and support services. The Division has the distinction as a leader in providing outreach clinic and telehealth services throughout the southern California region.

Additionally, our Division has a history of promoting innovation, research, and education. Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) is a teaching facility for the UC Irvine School of Medicine. The faculty member will be responsible for cultivating an environment that advances the strong clinical, research, and educational missions of the CHOC Specialists’ Pediatric Neurosurgery Division.
Preferred Qualifications:

The Division seeks a dynamic, passionate, and capable physician with a proven track record of collaborative clinical experience, administrative experience, program development, and community engagement. Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, be eligible for licensure in California, and be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Neurosurgery.

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
