Job Description

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a tenure-ineligible Clinical Instructor position in the Neuroradiology Imaging track for a July 1, 2026 start date.

Training and clinical work in Neuroradiology will include all aspects of diagnostic Neuroradiology: plain film imaging, CT, MRI, advanced imaging techniques, head, neck and spine biopsies, diagnostic angiography, myelography, and percutaneous diagnostic procedures (biopsies, etc.). Additional responsibilities as Instructor include more independence to read-out cases without over-reading every case by an attending Radiologist. As you progress, you will have graduated levels of responsibility and will perform as a junior attending for diagnostic imaging performing the above-noted modalities and procedures.

You could be expected to participate in additional training in the form of internal moonlighting as part of our 24/7 program launched in FY2018, subject to the approval of your Division Chief.
