Neurology Registered Nurse (RN)

Available Shifts: Days or Nights | 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

HireNow Staffing is recruiting an experienced Neurology Registered Nurse for a direct-placement opportunity with an established hospital in Gainesville, Florida. This position requires a clinically confident nurse who can safely manage a demanding patient assignment in a fast-paced neurological care environment.

HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner. The selected candidate will be employed directly by the hiring hospital.

HireNow Package

Base Hourly Compensation

• One year of experience: approximately $29.73 per hour
• Five years of experience: approximately $33.71 per hour
• Ten years of experience: approximately $37.75 per hour
• Seventeen years of experience: approximately $43.20 per hour

Final compensation will be based on the employer's experience scale, qualifications, internal equity, and applicable policies.

Shift Differentials

• Nights: $4.25 per hour
• Weekends: $3.00 per hour
• Weekend nights: up to $7.25 per hour

Additional Incentives

• Sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 may be available for eligible candidates through September 25
• Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis
• All compensation, differentials, bonuses, and relocation benefits are subject to final employer approval

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Assess patient conditions and promptly communicate significant clinical changes.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor neurological status, vital signs, treatment responses, and potential complications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-prevention, patient-safety, and regulatory standards.
• Work effectively with patient assignments of up to seven patients per nurse.
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage and other scheduling needs.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license:
• Multistate compact RN license, or
• Applicable Florida RN license
• Minimum of one year of professional RN experience
• Ability and willingness to work three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends
• Comfort working with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 7:1
• Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of Gainesville
• No current or previous disciplinary action against any nursing license
• Ability to satisfy all employer credentialing, background, health, and onboarding requirements

All current and previous RN licenses will be verified through Nursys. Candidates with any history of disciplinary action against a nursing license cannot be submitted.

Preferred Qualifications

• Neurology, neuroscience, medical-surgical, telemetry, or comparable acute-care nursing experience
• Strong neurological assessment and patient-monitoring skills
• Current BLS certification
• Experience working in a fast-paced acute-care hospital
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

• Have less than one year of RN experience
• Have ever had disciplinary action against a nursing license
• Hold an inactive, restricted, encumbered, or unverifiable RN license
• Are uncomfortable with a nurse-to-patient ratio of up to 7:1
• Cannot work three 12-hour shifts or rotating weekends
• Live outside a reasonable commuting distance
• Live in Ocala
• Present a jumpy résumé without reasonable explanations
• Cannot meet the hospital's credentialing or onboarding requirements
