Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Chicago, Illinois

Resurrection Medical Center, a leading acute care hospital serving Chicago's northwest side and a proud member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work alongside experienced Neurologists in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, providing care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Position Highlights

• Employment: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group

• Schedule: Full-time, day-shift | mix of inpatient and outpatient

• Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans under physician supervision

  • Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions per clinical protocols

  • Conduct inpatient consultations, assist with discharges, and manage outpatient follow-ups

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (EEG, imaging, labs)

  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care

  • Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per hospital standards

Candidate Eligibility

• Licensed NP or PA in the State of Illinois

• National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)

• Neurology experience preferred; willing to train strong internal medicine or critical care candidates

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive annual salary: $120,000-$140,000 (based on experience, credentials, and licensure)
