Job Description

As a Neurointerventionalist, you will provide medical and surgical services within an assigned clinic, forging relationships with staff and delivering expert care to patients. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides comprehensive neurointerventional radiology and stroke care to patients of Legacy Health. Such care is provided in outpatient clinic, hospital inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Provides coverage in an “on-call” capacity for trauma and non-trauma patients at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center and other hospitals as applicable.
  • Provides neurointerventional radiology consultation and treatment services for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and elderly/geriatric patients.
  • Provides office follow up of neurointerventional patients.
  • Participates in Legacy Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement programs as appropriate for clinical practice.
  • Participates in relevant committees as requested.
  • Participates in community outreach activities regarding Legacy’s stroke and neurointerventional radiology services as requested.
  • Works with other specialists in multidisciplinary cerebrovascular programs (radiology, neurosurgery, neurology) to build cohesive neurointerventional services and ensure Comprehensive Stroke Center requirements are met.
  • Completes medical records, coding and billing schedules and forms, and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion.
  • Qualifications

    Education:

    Graduate of four-year accredited U.S. Medical School or equivalent.

    Completion of an accredited residency program and fellowship in Interventional Neuroradiology.

    Licensure

    Certification/Licensure:

    Board Certified or Board Eligible in radiology or neurology.

    Board Certification in neuro radiology or vascular neurology preferred.

    Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon.

    Active member in good standing of Hospital Medical Staff.

    BLS certification minimally required; ACLS may be required for some privileges.
