
This position is under the supervision of the NeuroHospitalist Consult Medical Director, Division Chief of Comprehensive Neurology and Neurohospitalist Program, and Chair of the Department of Neurology. The duties of this position are in support of the mission, goals, and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine.
The incumbent will be scheduled for shift coverage of NeuroHospitalist consult work in-person and tele-health to support OHSU health. Work will include duties for OHSU, Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) in Hillsboro, Oregon, Adventist Health Center in Portland Oregon, and other community-based hospitals in the state of Oregon within the program. Volume of work and tasks will be assimilated as the program is implemented and growth and scope of services will expand external to OHSU in the future. This program is separate from the NeuroHospitalist Ward (Teaching) service who will staff consults that fall under the responsibility of the residents (ED and ICU consults).
There will be 168 shifts per year required which averages to 14 shifts per month – 4 of which should be days and should cross a weekend. Shifts are 12 hours in duration and a combination of weekdays and weekend.
