Job Details

Under general supervision, performs prescribed radiologic/diagnostic procedures requiring specialized knowledge and skills in support of the provision of diagnostic and/or therapeutic services to a specified patient population. Ensures accurate diagnostic results for patients of any age of graphically recorded impulses generated by the brain providing quality outcomes by performing EEG (electroencephalogram) consistent with department policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience performing Electroencephalogram (EEG) and evoked potential studies
  • Recognition of ictal and inter-ictal electrographic patterns
  • Ability to manage clinical seizure and/or other medical emergencies as required
  • Prepares patient for procedures as appropriate to requirements; explains procedures to patients and positions patients as appropriate to prescribed procedure; assists patients at end of procedure
  • May take mobile unit to patient's room or other setting to perform procedures, as appropriate to the operational context of the specific position
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a certified END program
  • Knowledge in all phases of EEG testing, long-term monitoring and neuro ICU experience also required
  • Board Certified ABRET or Registry Eligible

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a hospital setting, performing routine and complex EEG's
  • Proficient with Pediatric, Adult & Geriatric patients

Salary Range

USD $24.25 - USD $34.86 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and, it does not include the value of benefits.
