Pay Grade
Under limited supervision performs standard and complex neurodiagnostic procedures, provides technical assistance and training to other technologists and students. Regular contacts outside the department, but generally within the company, to give or receive information. Requires only courtesy to avoid friction. Requires critical thinking.
Education
Winchester Medical Center/HCC Neurodiagnostic program students who have successfully completed 18 months of training and are in the last semester may be considered eligible for hire as determined by the Neurodiagnostic Clinical Manager. Completion of Neurodiagnostic program Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic Technology or successful completion of ASET recognized program required
Experience
Three to five years' experience with Long-term monitoring, Evoked Potentials and Intraoperative Monitoring required
Certification & Licensures
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved required *
Neurodiagnostic Board eligible and completion of Board Registration within 2 years of hire date. American Heart Association CPR Certification, or obtain within six months of hire required Heart Saver Plus or Community CPR, or obtain within six months of hire required
Qualifications
Knowledge of a specialized field with emphasis on Epilepsy Monitoring required Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, basic computer skills, AS400, standard office equipment, medical equipment Knowledge of medical terminology Demonstrated ability to follow verbal instructions, communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
