Job Description

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented EKG/EEG Technician to join our diagnostic services team. The ideal candidate will perform electrocardiograms (EKGs), electroencephalograms (EEGs), Tilt Table studies and assist with cardiac stress testing while providing exceptional patient care in a professional clinical environment.

This is a Full-Time Day position with rotating weekends and on call.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform resting 12-lead electrocardiograms (EKGs) accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare, educate, and monitor patients during cardiac stress testing according to established protocols.
• Perform routine electroencephalograms (EEGs), ensuring proper electrode placement and accurate data acquisition.
• Monitor patients throughout Tilt Table Studies, ensuring safety and comfort while recognizing and reporting any changes in patient condition.
• Document patient information and test results accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot EKG, EEG, and stress testing equipment as needed.
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

• We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required

Education Requirements:

• Validation of a High School Diploma is required.

Experience:

• Previous experience performing EKGs, EEGs, and cardiac stress testing is preferred. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Basic computer and electronic medical record (EMR) skills preferred.
