Target Salary Range*:$119,500 - $128,000
*This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and/or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
The Network/System Administrator II will organize, install, and support government computer systems, including LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems. The position supports Special Access Programs (SAPs) for Department of Defense (DoD) agencies and provides day-to-day support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.
Key Responsibilities
Network and Systems Administration
- Organize, install, and support LANs, WANs, network segments, intranets, and other data communication systems.
- Execute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks.
- Operate under supervision.
- Provide technical support to computer users and assist with resolving user problems.
Network Architecture and Infrastructure
- Help architect, design, and analyze network models.
- Participate in decisions regarding future hardware and software purchases to upgrade organizational infrastructure.
Operations and Maintenance
- Manage COTS and GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security and system operations/performance functions and metrics.
- Follow daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain services.
- Build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Processes (SOPs) associated with service checklists.
Security Monitoring and Incident Response
- Operate monitoring tools and capabilities within the enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) environment.
- Create and tailor complex event alarms/rules and summary reports.
- Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging cybersecurity tools and processes, upon request.
- Work as part of a security incident response team as needed.
Special Access Program Support
- Support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting DoD agencies, including HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts.
- Provide day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience [Required].
- Associate's degree and 5 years of relevant experience [Required].
- 7 years of total relevant experience in lieu of degree [Required].
Experience
- 3–5 years of related experience [Required].
- SAP experience [Required].
