What success looks like in this role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Network/Security Specialist - Entry-Level with a strong interest in networking to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to the deployment of cutting-edge security projects, including large-scale encryption networks for our clients.

As part of a small project team, you’ll be involved in the end-to-end lifecycle of network and security implementations—designing, testing, staging, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions that strengthen the security infrastructure of our partners.

We’re seeking someone with a growth mindset, eager to learn and develop into an independent contributor over time. You’ll be working onsite at our office/lab in Diegem for multiple days each week, gaining valuable experience in a collaborative and technical environment.

What you will do

You will play a key role in analysing, building and operating secure network solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Network & Security Analysis

• Review of network and security capabilities
• Analysis of data flows and processes
• System administration tasks

Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) & Lab Activities

• Create Proof‑of‑Concept (PoC) environments
• Assist in the setup and administration of PoC environments
• Handle day‑to‑day operations of the lab environment
• Troubleshoot technical issues

Automation

• Automate security infrastructure testing
• Automate staging and pre‑provisioning processes

Testing & Implementation

• Test and troubleshoot new equipment
• Validate operational procedures and manuals
• Support roll‑out of solutions (Staging / Pre‑Provisioning / Deployment)
• Assist, implement, and guide migrations to new solutions
• Provide back‑office and onsite support for migrations and delivered solutions

Documentation

• Maintain operational procedures and manuals
• Draft reports (activity reports, test reports, etc.)
• Track issues with vendors and partners

Operational Support

• Assist with move execution, adds, and changes to security tools and platforms
• Support transitions, implementations, and migrations

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Master’s degree with a focus on engineering or computer science with limited job experience OR equivalent combination of education and 0-2 years of experience

• Must be fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a plus

• Prepared to work onsite at the office/lab in Diegem for multiple days per week

• Eligible for EU Secret Security Clearance

• Knowledge of computer networking

• Notions of Linux (CLI and network configuration)

• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn

• Some experience with network infrastructure deployment and maintenance is a plus

• Familiarity with automation tools (such as Ansible) and scripting languages (like bash or python) is an advantage
