Could you be the full-time Network & Telecom Radio Engineer in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your telecommunications expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest public transit system by contributing to the transformation of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas' (GTHA) collective mobility. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, engineering, commissioning), support the implementation of integrated radio and TCP/IP networks, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of designing and deploying radio solutions, but also validating and maintaining these systems.
We’ll look to you for:
Designing and deploying networks and virtual solutions based on system requirements
Developing and executing testing, verification, and validation procedures
Documenting and maintaining system specifications and interface control documents
Conducting propagation analysis to ensure coverage and capacity objectives are met
Performing site and vehicle surveys for radio equipment installations
Troubleshooting radio systems and performing system performance improvements
Participating in radio and network design and implementation activities

Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in telecommunications
5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and operating wireless networks
P. Eng certification or in progress
Familiarity with radio technologies such as 4G/5G cellular
Knowledge of radio access network hardware and link-budget analysis
Experience with radio propagation analysis tools and troubleshooting
Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and network security policies

Compensation
The expected compensation for this role is $80,000 – $105,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
