Job Title: Network Technician - Cisco Voice

Location: Denver, CO – Hybrid W2 ( Local candidates only)

Duration: 10 months (MST)

Job Description:

Seeking an entry-level Network Technician / VoIP Engineer to provide technical support for voice, video, data, and wireless network infrastructure. The role will support network operations, maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and project activities across multiple locations.

Scope of Services

The contractor shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Review and validate incoming ServiceNow tickets, obtaining missing or required information as necessary.
2. Assign tickets to appropriate technical staff.
3. Maintain and verify accurate system records.
4. Manage Cisco WebEx configurations via Kurmi, including password resets, voicemail resets, and name changes.
5. Perform onsite telecommunications installations within a 50-mile radius of 1575 Sherman.
6. Install and configure voice jumpers.
7. Troubleshoot analog line issues and copper cabling infrastructure.
8. Assist technical staff with day-to-day telephony tasks, such as phone relocation and installation.
9. Inventory phones and network switches, documenting details in a spreadsheet for decommissioning or surplus processes.

Operating and Maintenance (O&M) Support Models

The project will follow the OIT Support Model as defined below:

O&M-S

Standard support. OIT provides both application and infrastructure support.

O&M-I

Infrastructure Only support. OIT provides infrastructure support.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Certified network professional accreditation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install network hardware components and cables.
• Configure network software.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to ensure long-term network efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Ensure the network operates securely
