Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Manager to lead the design, implementation, security, and continuous improvement of our enterprise network infrastructure. The successful candidate will oversee network operations, drive infrastructure projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a team responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing network services that support the bank's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees the design, development, installation, and configuration of networks (VPN / Wi-Fi / WAN / LAN) based on business requirements, evaluates new solutions, and provides recommendations regarding network upgrades or expansions.
  • Leads the technical team in network expansion projects, network development or replacement initiatives, and the implementation of new systems, ensuring project completion within the defined timeline.
  • Manages and supervises troubleshooting and network issue resolution with the internal team and external support companies, ensuring service continuity. Ensures that all issues and solutions are properly documented in the bank's incident management system. Proactively prevents failures through regular maintenance and performance monitoring of network devices.
  • Monitors contracts related to network equipment maintenance, communication line agreements, and licenses for network systems and devices, ensuring full compliance with contract terms and timely renewals.
  • Supervises the backup processes for configurations and data related to network devices, ensuring data integrity and availability to safeguard the bank’s rights and maintain continuity under all circumstances.
  • Documents and regularly updates the network architecture and associated systems.
  • Participates in or supervises the team in testing and activating the disaster recovery site at Bank of Jordan to ensure business continuity.
  • Oversees the configuration and integration of network lines related to the call center, in accordance with established procedures and instructions.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with the PCI DSS standard on all network and security devices, ensuring the bank’s adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Implements and ensures the enforcement of security policies to protect the internal and external network from breaches and cyberattacks.
  • Performs daily tasks in accordance with approved policies and procedures, and within the scope of granted authorities.
  • Supervises and follows up on network monitoring systems, ensuring their optimal performance and the timely updating of monitoring tools and devices.
  • Provides technical, training, and consulting support to other teams, helping stakeholders resolve their issues efficiently.
  • Ensures daily operations run smoothly in alignment with approved policies, procedures, and authorized limits.
  • Acts as a primary or backup member in the bank's business continuity and emergency teams, performing all required tasks to minimize the impact of crises and restore operations promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
  • Holder of at least one certification in the following areas:
  1. Routing & Switching
  2. Firewalls
  3. Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  4. Wi-Fi
  5. Voice Systems
  • Minimum of 8 years of practical experience in relevant job functions.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to work with applied systems.
  • Supervisory and managerial skills.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to motivate and work as part of a team.
  • Thorough knowledge of internal and external policies and procedures that govern the work, including their updates.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
