Job Description

A large IT Service provider is looking for a talented Network Support Specialist to join our team that performs work on a long term (multi-year) government contract in Downtown, Dallas. This position has two major roles, Network Support and Project Support. The successful candidate has substantial hands on network support experience and active network certifications as well as general project management experience in the financial service industry.

Duties include:

• Providing infrastructure support under the direction of the Information Technology Manager.
• Responsible for supporting any network related issues including troubleshooting issues and supporting staff and contractors connecting to the network.
• Analyzing current network structure and making changes to network structure when requested by the IT manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in IT network support and installation on a variety of different network hardware and software including both wired and wireless networks.
• Current certification(s) demonstrating knowledge and expertise in computer networking such as CCIE, CCNP, WCNA, and MCSE.
• Experience installing, configuring, and removing LAN hardware including network servers, routers, and switches.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting hard wired access for a LAN including running cable, installing drops, and troubleshooting wire issues.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting networking tools used for remote access and file transfer.
• Experience working with VPN access and virtual machines.

Pay Rate: $45-60 per hour
