Location This role will initially be based in Bradford but we’re moving our office to Leeds Valley Park in September 2026, so you’ll be based there in the future. There is also the expectation to travel across our depots and sites within Yorkshire Water when required.


Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Customer Field Services are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.


As our Network Strategy Intelligence Manager, you will provide data led insight into sewer network performance across Wastewater Services. The team plays a central role in embedding a consistent, transparent and data driven approach to performance management, ensuring Yorkshire Water has a clear understanding of sewer flooding risk, customer impact, operational drivers and long term network behaviour.


We provide leadership across modelling, analytics, reporting and performance frameworks, the team translates insight into actionable delivery plans that improve customer outcomes, reduce flooding incidents, drive efficiency and strengthen regulatory confidence. Acting as a centre of excellence for network understanding, the team delivers high quality intelligence and assurance to support informed decision making across the business.


By identifying root causes and key performance drivers, the team plays a pivotal role in Yorkshire Water’s sewer flooding strategy and ODI delivery, ensuring the right interventions and controls are in place to prevent repeat incidents and improve long term network resilience.

As our Network Strategy Intelligence Manager you will;


• Support and lead aspects of the sewer flooding performance strategy and operational performance framework, ensuring alignment with business priorities and ODI commitments.


• Provide high quality, data driven insight that informs operational, tactical and long term decision making across the business.


• Govern and assure predictive models, dashboards and analytical outputs, ensuring accuracy, consistency and a single source of truth for performance reporting.


• Drive targeted improvements by leading root cause analysis, scenario modelling and performance diagnostics to reduce flooding risk and repeat incidents.


• Lead and facilitate weekly and monthly performance reviews, identifying trends, emerging risks, weather related impacts and opportunities for improvement.


• Translate analytical outputs into clear operational actions, working with field operations and cross functional teams to deliver measurable improvements.


• Collaborate across operational intelligence, asset planning, customer and capital delivery teams to manage performance risk and maximise opportunities.


• Build capability and resilience within the team, coaching analysts and performance specialists, embedding continuous improvement and strengthening analytical standards.


What skills & qualifications you will need:


• Strong leadership background within wastewater operations, data intelligence, performance management or strategy.


• Deep understanding of sewer flooding mechanisms, network behaviour, and regulatory context.


• Experience delivering analytical insight at senior stakeholder level.


• Proven ability to lead change initiatives across multiple operational teams.


• Strong communication and influencing skills.


• Ability to work across multiple sites (full UK driving licence).


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence across business readiness teams e.g Business change, comms and learning, to plan and deliver the activities outlined in change impact assessments.


• Strong knowledge and experience of business processes and system linked to day to day wastewater operations as well as planning and scheduling and customer management practices.


• Proactive, self-motivated, organized and takes personal accountability.
