Finastra is currently seeking a Network Security Engineer to join the Network Engineeringorganization. This positionwill deliver againstnetworksecurity,incidentand response needs of Finastra. Additionally, the chosencandidatewill partner with internal teams,managementand vendors toimplement againstFinastra's network securityroadmap.

The ideal candidate should be forward-thinking,dedicatedand detail-oriented witha strong desireto work within adynamic andcollaborative environment.

KeyResponsibilities

  • Work directly with InfoSec and Network Engineeringpeersto develop and enhance networksecuritycapabilitiesthat improve Finastra’s security posture.

  • Proven ability toimplement against published design standards.

  • Execute againstpublished runbooks for routine maintenance andnetwork securityenhancement activities.

  • Maintain technical configuration documents andstandard operating proceduresrelated to network security services.

  • Adhere to IT Service Management policy and procedures for return to service tasks, problem management, and change control activities.

  • Support 24x7x365 network securityincidentand response needs.

  • Rolerequiresup to 10% business travel

Technical Skills and Required :4-6 Yrs

  • Functionalknowledge of networking and data communication fundamentals includingconnectivity methods, security functions,and routingswitchingprotocols

  • Functionalknowledge of internetworking standards

  • Functionalknowledge of networksecuritymanagement tools

  • Advanced knowledge of OSI model

  • Minimum of 3yearsnetwork securityimplementation experiencerequired

  • 1 year of Network Security design exposure desired.

  • 3+years of implementationexperiencewith the following OEMs: Microsoft Azure(or AWS),Fortinet,F5 ,andCisco

  • Working experience with the followingsecuritycapabilities:applicationfirewallinspection,intrusion detection/prevention, dynamic web filtering, internet proxy,firewallmanagementand audit tools

  • Implementation experience using web application protection capabilities -distributed denial of serviceandweb applicationfirewall

  • Proficient with advanced load-balancer capabilities

  • Foundational knowledge of encryption standardsand protocols.

  • Micro segmentationknowledge and deploymentexperience desired

Competencies

  • 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

  • Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – oral and written

  • Customer focused

  • Basic financial and accounting knowledge – amortization, depreciation, CAPEX/OPEX

  • Ability to work well in a project team environment

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products– Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Detail and results oriented
