Network Security Analyst II (RSA Archer Specialist)

Location: Austin, TX 78701
Duration: 3-Month Contract (06/15/2026 – 08/31/2026)
Pay Rate: $80–$90/hour
Interview Process: Microsoft Teams
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite (Local candidates within 50 miles only)

The Network Security Analyst II (NSA II) – RSA Archer Specialist plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) solutions using the RSA Archer platform. This role is responsible for safeguarding organizational systems and data by identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements.

The NSA II operates independently on complex initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams including Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance, Data Privacy, and IT stakeholders. The position supports mission-critical GRC operations and ensures alignment with organizational governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

RSA Archer Development & Configuration

  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain RSA Archer solutions, including:
    • Assessment & Authorization (A&A)
    • Controls Assurance Program Management
    • Issues Management
    • Custom Archer applications and integrations
  • Configure Archer components such as:
    • Questionnaires, surveys, and forms
    • Workflows and approvals
    • Role-based access controls
    • Data imports and automated feeds
    • Calculations and data relationships

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

  • Gather and analyze business and functional requirements
  • Translate requirements into:
    • Technical design documents
    • Configuration specifications
    • User stories and implementation plans

Integration & Development

  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services to connect Archer with enterprise platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, ITSM, CMDB)
  • Implement client-side customizations using JavaScript and jQuery

Security Operations & Risk Management

  • Monitor systems and network activity for threats and anomalies
  • Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce and maintain detailed documentation, including:
    • System design and configuration
    • Integration specifications
    • Test plans and results
    • Change requests and project documentation
  • Follow change management and release governance processes

Support & Optimization

  • Troubleshoot application issues and resolve defects
  • Optimize system performance and reliability
  • Support user adoption through training and knowledge transfer

Required Qualifications

  • Certification (Required):

    • Archer Certified Professional (ACP)
      OR
    • RSA Archer Level 3 Certified Administrator (Expert)
  • Experience:

    • Minimum 5 years of RSA Archer platform experience
    • Proven experience implementing and supporting GRC solutions
  • Technical Skills:

    • Deep expertise in RSA Archer architecture, configuration, and workflows
    • Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery
    • Strong knowledge of GRC processes and risk/compliance frameworks
  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent documentation and communication abilities
    • Ability to work independently on complex technical initiatives
    • Experience working in structured, change-controlled environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large enterprise or government GRC implementations (10+ years preferred)
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as:
    • NIST
    • ISO 27001
    • SOC
  • Experience integrating RSA Archer with ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
  • Background in Information Security, Risk Management, or Compliance
