NETWORK SCHEDULING MANAGER

to join our team!

We are looking for an experienced scheduling professional who can translate network and commercialobjectivesintorobust,executableand profitable seasonal schedulesand base programs In this role, you will take endtoend accountability for Finnair’s IATA summer and winter programs, ensuring high schedule quality, strong connectivity and operational feasibility while supporting network profitability.

Thisrole isprimarilyanoffice-basedrole in Vantaa, Finland.

Main responsibilities:

You willbe responsible forthedevelopment,optimizationand publication of Finnair’s seasonal schedules , ensuring alignment with network strategy and operational requirements.

  • Lead the development,schedulingand optimization of Finnair’s base programs for IATA summer and winter seasons.

  • Design schedules that align flight permits, base maintenance requirements, strategicslotsand operational constraints.

  • Safeguard schedule quality by monitoring block times, minimum groundtimesand connection viability.

  • Ensure schedules are operationallyfeasiblethrough close cooperation with Technical Operations, GroundOperationsand Crew Planning.

  • Incorporate seasonality, routeperformanceand market demand into robust, executable schedules.

  • Ensure efficientutilizationofaircraftand crew whilemaintainingground operations feasibility.

  • Optimizeaircraftdeployment,frequenciesand schedules to maximize profitability while ensuring strong network connectivity.

  • Support operational reliabilityand on timeperformance through active coordination on turnaround processes and ground times.

  • Coordinate complex scheduling initiatives across multiple stakeholders and communicate schedule changes,optimizationsand program updates clearly to internal and external audiences

  • Balance commercialobjectivesand operational constraints through strong analytical insight and structured reporting.

  • Contribute tocommercialbusiness cases for new routes,frequenciesand schedule adjustments.

  • Drive continuous improvement of schedule quality and overall network performance.

  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to bring:

  • Abachelor’s degree in business,engineeringor an equivalent field.

  • Understanding of airline operations and operational constraints, gained from either a commercial or operational background.

  • Solid understanding of airport slot processes,regulationsand seasonal scheduling cycles.

  • Minimum 3 years of handson experience in airline schedulingSlot managementis considered an advantage.

  • Strong analytical capabilities and ability to balance commercial optimization with operational feasibility.

  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to schedule quality and executability.

In addition, we appreciate the following:

  • Experience with operational planning or OCC systems (e.g.OPS++).

  • Strong hands-on experience and knowhow ofLSY /NetLinetools.
