Within Clearstream, Global Markets – Network Management is responsible for managing Clearstream’s worldwide network of financial market infrastructures and service providers, including central securities depositories, custodian banks, cash correspondent banks, and trading venues.
The main responsibilities of Network Management are to select, develop and monitor the global network of third-party service providers for settlement, custody and cash correspondent banking services. The work includes notably the continuous assessment of the levels of service, competitiveness and the associated risks of those markets where Clearstream operates a link.Network Management also ensures at all times compliance with Clearstream|Deutsche Boerse’s policies and procedures and their regulatory requirements applicable to the management of its market links and agent bank network.
The Network Management Office (NMO) is a transversal control, coordination and governance function that supports and oversees the Network Management teams globally. Its mandate is not market ownership, but process integrity, consistency, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience across the entire Network Management function. This is a cross‑functional role combining governance, process management, regulatory awareness, audit coordination, and stakeholder interaction.
