Job Description

The Manager-Network Planning is responsible for driving strategic store expansion by conducting market research, risks assessments, and data analysis to identify high-potential store locations. The jobholder develops site expansion strategies aligned with business growth objectives, ensures sustainable and data-driven decision-making, and leads site selection projects in collaboration with internal teams.

The role manages stakeholder negotiations with property owners and developers to secure prime retail spaces while ensuring efficient project execution and long-term operational success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Market Analysis & Network Planning

  • Conducts market research and risk assessments to evaluate the potential of targeted store locations and develop strategic recommendations for store expansion.
  • Develop site expansion strategies based on research insights, ensuring alignment with Mr. DIY Philippines business growth and brand strategies.
  • Establish and define store expansion parameters that prioritize sustainability and operational success over numerical growth targets. Ensure these parameters guide the Site Acquisition Team in identifying suitable store locations.

Data Analytics

  • Leverage data-driven insights to formulate network expansion strategies, incorporating key performance indicators such as store performance, customer satisfaction, and foot traffic analysis.
  • Conduct assessments of future business needs to ensure store expansion remains sustainable and aligned with long-term goals.
  • Lead the data analysts in conducting comprehensive market research, evaluating store performance, analyzing competition, and assessing customer traffic to identify high-potential store locations.

Project Management & Coordination

  • Lead site selection projects in collaboration with the Site Acquisition Team, applying structured project management methodologies to timely completion.
  • Organize project teams to oversee activities, track progress, and ensure adherence to budget allocations and timelines.

Operations & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with the Site Acquisition Team to ensure alignment with established parameters for selecting store locations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Educational Background

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial or Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Proven experience in retail planning, site acquisition, or strategic expansion within the retail, real estate, or commercial development sectors.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in market research, demographic analysis, and location strategy development.
  • Proficiency in location mapping (GAP MAPS ) and analysis tools, data analytics, and financial modelling related to site selection is a must.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of handling multiple initiatives within set timelines and budgets.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with property owners, landlords, and external partners.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and align expansion plans with overall business objectives.
  • Knowledge of Philippine real estate regulations, zoning laws, and market trends is a plus.
