What we do!
Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire, we make sure that over 5.4 million people living in the region and the millions of people who visit our region each year, can rely on our services, and have clean and safe drinking water on tap and that their wastewater is taken away. But for us, it’s so much more than this.
We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to look after Yorkshire’s water, today, tomorrow 24/7, 365 days a year. We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, and play a key role in the region’s health, wellbeing, and prosperity.
New environmental legislation, unprecedented levels of investment and changing expectations from customers means that this is an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry. Network Performance and Insight Team are a key part of how we plan to meet the changing expectations of customers and regulators.
The Network Performance & Insight team provides the operational assurance and performance control that underpins Yorkshire Water’s wastewater outcomes. The team ensures that sewer flooding performance, network health and protection obligations are managed consistently, compliantly and right first time, with a strong focus on internal and external sewer flooding, collapses, blockages and network protection.
Sitting between strategy and frontline delivery, the team provides a critical assurance layer — ensuring controls are robust, data is accurate, learning is captured, and interventions are targeted where they will have the greatest impact. By leading specialist capability across Network Escapes and Network Health, the team delivers clear governance, insight and intelligence that enables confident operational decision making.
Through a deep understanding of root causes, performance risk and network behaviour, the team plays a pivotal role in Yorkshire Water’s sewer flooding strategy and ODI delivery, supporting both tactical interventions and long term resilience. This work ensures the right controls are in place to prevent repeat incidents, strengthen compliance, and deliver industry leading wastewater performance.

• Translate strategic priorities into clear operational expectations, controls and performance measures.
• Lead regular performance and assurance reviews, identifying trends, root causes, repeat risks and opportunities for improvement.
