In this role, you'll:


Work within our Motorways, Tunnels and Optimisation Team within the Operations Management Branch of the Coordinator General division at Transport for NSW, with a focus on leading a team of specialists to enhance network performance and ensure delays are kept to a minimum for passengers, customers and freight.

This role will see you works closely with transport teams and key stakeholders to ensure systems and processes are implemented in an efficient manner. Your leadership skills and technical knowledge with SCATS and ramp metering systems will allow you to develop and lead real time optimisation programs implemented by your team.

You will provide leadership and strategy oversight for a team of 6 people, where you will influence and negotiate with key stakeholder to develop real time multi-mode strategies and minimise disruptions.

This position works during office hours however leads a team in a centre which operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and may require you to work outside business hours to meet operational and business needs. Allowances will be paid as per award.

About you


Your tertiary qualification in a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience in a related field will see you bringing people leadership and technical skills in SCATS to this role.

You’re recognised for your proven experience in leading and mentoring people within a technical team that will look your experience and understanding of traffic signals and ramp metering operations via our SCATS software system.

This is an Award Transport Grade 8 Permanent Full-Time role based at the Eveleigh Transport Management Centre (TMC) around 80% of the time that also will enable some hybrid flexible working arrangements.
