About this Opportunity:
Lead the team that power Execulink’s network and internal technology environment. As Network Operations Manager, you’ll provide strategic direction and operational oversight across the teams responsible for network operations, service operations support, systems, voice, and internal corporate IT. This role is accountable for the infrastructure and services that support everything from our core network and customer-facing services to corporate networking, end-user devices, and Microsoft 365.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a leader who enjoys driving innovation and continuous improvement. You’ll help guide major initiatives such as network automation, next-generation architectures, systems modernization, and ISO 27001 readiness, while supporting the teams that help deliver an AWESOME experience to customers across Southwestern Ontario.
Position Details:
• Woodstock, ON
• Permanent, Full-Time
• On-Site Hybrid
◦ Required to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
• Hours of Work
◦ Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
◦ Flexibility may be required outside of core business hours, based on business demands to fulfill responsibilities of the role
• As this is a key position for product service delivery, must be flexible in working any required hours based on the operational needs of the business
◦ Expected to be available to support 24/7 Operations, as required
Responsibilities:
• Manage all technical operations with supervisors to maintain the integrity, quality, and consistency of all services across the Network, Systems, and LAN teams
• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction regarding new and existing technologies, operational standards, policies, and procedures in addition to staff development
• Champion a culture of automation and continuous improvement across the department, supporting and enabling automation and programmability initiatives within the Network and Systems teams
• Develop (with VP of Technology) a balanced set of metrics and targets that will be used to monitor the effectiveness of the Operational performance of the Systems and Network that support the organization and the team that manages them
• Work with the VP of Technology and the CFO in preparing an operating budget for the fiscal year identifying the following financial needs:
◦ Capital Equipment, Leased Services, Manpower, Maintenance, Training and Development, and Employee Expenses
• Oversee SLA compliance, escalation resolution, purchase order approvals, and monthly progress reporting to senior management
• Drive intradepartmental coordination, quality control, and vendor relationship management to support operational excellence across all teams
• Lead technical standards development, change management, and the full lifecycle of software and hardware across the department
• Direct the strategic roadmap for future products and services, managing day-to-day operations to deliver an experience that aligns with Execulink’s VMV and UVP
• Lead Execulink’s information security initiatives across the department, including advancement toward ISO 27001 certification, ensuring that security policies, controls, and best practices are embedded across all operational teams
• Other Duties as Assigned
HR Responsibilities:
• Direct supervision of the Network Operations Supervisor and the Systems Operations Supervisor
• Indirect oversight of the Network Operations, Service Operations Support (SOS), Systems Operations, Voice Operations, and LAN teams
• Review, approve, and submit timesheets for all direct reports
• Conduct Performance Reviews (PRs) and Employee Performance Improvement Plan (EPIP) meetings for direct reports
• Participate in cultural interviews as requested
• Actively contribute in executive, management, and company meetings
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years demonstrated success managing and leading network operations
• Diploma or science degree or related professional qualification
• Networking skills and understanding of network structure, design, and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with different operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows)
• Understanding of network automation principles and modern ISP technologies, including scripting and programmability concepts
• Video, audio, analog, digital, addressable, and data knowledge
• Experience in all aspects of planning and implementing network operations; ability to make sound decisions and implement them
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio or AutoCAD
• Proven experience in change management; adaptable and able to persuade others to accept new ideas
• Familiarity with information security frameworks and standards; experience with or working toward ISO 27001 is a strong asset
• Valid Class G Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
