Job Description

Role Name: Network Administrator Network Operations Engineer

Location On site Lomas de Chapultepec and Polanco, CDMX México

Band Corporate Title: Contractor

Member of a team responsible for the overall support and operation of network environments across technologies in México. Candidate will plan, maintain, upgrade, and continuously monitor and improve the operating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Incident and problem management, works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Work closely with other enterprise teams on the implementation of network changes, adhering to the enterprise Change Management standards.
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of the different project components, monitoring progress, and implements changes where necessary.
  • Visit Bank’s sites within CDMX, Monterrey and Queretaro area for on-site support
  • Ensure all relevant risk, technical, security and compliance polices and standards are met.
  • Align with Business objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Create and maintain an inclusive and healthy working environment, and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
  • Willing to work after hours and weekends as required, either remote or local at the site
  • When will be need it, presents oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
  • Physically presence at main site located in CDMX: Lomas de Chapultepec and Polanco.

Required Job Skills:

A candidate must have:

  • CCNP certification
  • +5 years of experience in a network operations role.
  • Highly developed operational experience; being able to troubleshoot complex network security and routing issues in a large multi-vendor environment.
  • Knowledge of networking communication principles, network standards, and security practices of Data centers.
  • Experience working on a datacenter room environment, including electrical and physical security.
  • A mix of ‘Data’ and ‘Security’ technologies with strong hands-on experience on the majority of the technologies listed below:
  • Cisco Routing/Switching – CCNP+ Level or equivalent experience
  • In-Depth Working Knowledge configuring and troubleshooting full suite of Cisco switches and routers – IOS, NX-OS, IOS-XR
  • Working Knowledge of Market Data delivery networks using both TCP and UDP multicast with an ability to comprehensively troubleshoot through these networks
  • Experience in network analytics through packet capture(Sniffer) and (Netscout)
  • Excellent understanding of common network technologies, including TCP/IP, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, SNMP, NAT, Multicast, Sub-netting, Ethernet, Access-lists
  • In-Depth Working Knowledge and understanding of the following routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, MPLS
  • Knowledge of core network services (DNS, SNMP, SMTP, NTP, syslog, HTTP)
  • Knowledge of network monitoring tools (SEVONE, HPNA, Splunk)
  • Knowledge on security technologies: Firewall (Checkpoint, Nokia and Juniper), Proxy, IDS/IPS
  • Knowledge of load-balancer technologies: F5 BigIP/LTM/GTM/APM, iRules
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Language proficiency in English & Spanish

  • Ability to multitask and able to perform well under tight deadlines
  • Team Player & ability to work alone and with other teams for live troubleshoot calls
  • Good communication, time management and notions of project management
  • Previous experience working within a large Financial Services environment or Banking sector.
  • Deep understanding of technical needs, requirements, and state of the network's infrastructure design, integration, and operations.
