Airnorth is the Top End's leading airline operating a fleet of E120 and E170/190. We are currently accepting applications for a Network Operations Controllerbased in Perth, Western Australia.
Reporting to the Network and Service Excellence Manager, Network Operations Controllers are responsible for overseeing the real-time operational control of the Airnorth network, ensuring efficient and safe flight coordination. This role involves monitoring flight schedules, managing delays or disruptions, and optimising aircraft and crew utilisation. It helps maintain on-time performance and enhances the overall passenger experience. The role is based in Perth and involves 7-day rotating shift work, including early starts and late finishes.
Controlling “Day of Operations” when on duty by:
Monitor and manage real-time flight operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
Coordinate with pilots, ground staff, and aerodrome operators/staff to address operational issues.
Optimise aircraft and crew scheduling to maintain on-time performance.
Communicate operational changes and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and procedures.
Arrange crew briefings and debriefings, disseminating operational information.
Oversee technical and logistical support availability for aircraft maintenance, refuelling, and cleaning.
Allocate crew for flights and ensure replacements in case of delays or absences.
Monitor and interpret meteorological data to assess potential flight safety and scheduling impacts.
Maintain accurate records of flight operations.
Provide support and guidance to flight crews during in-flight and ground operations.
Maintain operational systems and ensure they are up-to-date and accurate.
Always comply with Airnorth Policies and Procedures.
Ensure daily tasks and checklists are completed.
Communicate with airport authorities on-ramp and gate availability, aircraft parking, and other logistical requirements.
Respond to emergencies, such as aircraft technical issues, medical emergencies, or security concerns.
All other administrative or operational tasks as required.
