Job Title: Network Manager (GTS Infrastructure)
Department: Global Technology Services (GTS) – Infrastructure

Reporting to: Head of Network / Infrastructure
The Network Manager is responsible for the design, delivery, operations, and continuous improvement of the bank’s network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, branches, and cloud environments. This role ensures high availability, security, and resilience of network services that support critical banking applications and regional operations.
The candidate will lead a team of engineers, drive automation-first initiatives, strengthen cyber and compliance posture, and partner with global stakeholders to deliver scalable and cost-efficient network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Network Operations & Service Management
Oversee day-to-day network operations including LAN, WAN, Internet, and data center networks
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability aligned to SLAs/OLAs
Lead incident, problem, and change management processes
Manage major incident recovery and root cause analysis (RCA)
Drive service improvements and operational excellence
2. Infrastructure Design & Delivery
Lead the design and implementation of resilient network architectures (on-prem, hybrid, multi-cloud)
Support Active-Active Data Center strategies and cross-site failover capabilities
Ensure scalability, performance, and future readiness of network platforms
Participate in enterprise architecture and project delivery governance
3. Resiliency & Risk Management
Drive network resiliency initiatives including failover testing and disaster recovery readiness
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across critical network components
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS, BNM, internal audit standards)
Lead vulnerability remediation, patching, and security controls implementation
4. Security & Compliance
Enforce secure network design and operations (firewalls, WAF, segmentation, Zero Trust principles)
Collaborate with Cyber Security teams on threat mitigation and incident response
Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and audit requirements
Maintain audit readiness and address findings in a timely manner
5. Automation & Continuous Improvement
Champion “Automation First” initiatives to streamline BAU operations
Develop and implement scripts/tools for monitoring, provisioning, and health checks
Drive efficiency improvements, cost optimization, and reduction of manual effort
6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management
Manage network vendors, service providers, and partners
Collaborate with regional teams (e.g., SG, MY, Group functions) on shared services
Provide technical leadership to application, cloud, and security teams
Manage budgets, contracts, and capacity planning
7. Team Leadership & People Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers
Drive performance management, career progression, and succession planning
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
Encourage ownership of group-level responsibilities and cross-functional exposure
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
8–12+ years of experience in network infrastructure, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
Experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred
Technical Skills
Strong expertise in:
Routing & Switching (Cisco, Huawei, etc.)
WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN)
Network Security (Firewalls, WAF, VPN, Zero Trust)
Load balancing (F5 or equivalent)
Data Center networking (VXLAN, EVPN, spine-leaf architecture)
Cisco SDA Architecture
NAC Solution – Cisco & Forescout
Knowledge of network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting tools
Exposure to automation (Python, Ansible, APIs)
Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Excellent stakeholder engagement across regional/global teams
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage high-pressure situations and critical incidents
Effective communication and presentation skills
