The Network Management System (NMS) Co-op will work closely with the team to support the design, development, and testing of Network and Element Management Software. This role provides hands-on experience with C++ development, the gNMI protocol, test automation front-end and backend, and lab-based validation activities across both the CNMS and EMS platforms. This position is ideal for students interested in software engineering, network management, automation, and large‑scale system operations

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and testing Network and Element Management Software.
• Develop features for EMS components using C++.
• Build and maintain test automation scripts.
• Set up lab environments and run manual and automated tests and procedures.
• Document results and update CNMS/EMS technical documentation.
• Engage with the Agile team during planning, reviews, and daily stand-ups
• Present final project work and findings to the System Operations Software management team

Education and Experience Required

• University student towards a Bachelor’s degree in technical, computer science or engineering field
• Basic knowledge in satellite communication technologies
• Strong interests in NMS protocols and modelling languages such as: NETCONF/RESTCONF, gRPC/gNMI, gNOI, YANG, UML, OO design
• Good knowledge in Python 3, modern C++ (C++14 and beyond), Go, Debian, Docker, K8S, Azure
• Good communicator in a hybrid work environment

Working Conditions

• Hybrid workplace model with four days a week in the office
