Our Values: Be proactive – Value others – Work together - Contribute positively – Be transparent.

About Us: We are the not-for-profit organisation appointed to manage and grow QLD’s Containers for Change refund scheme. Since 2018 we’ve kept over 11 billion containers out of landfill, returning over $1.1 billion in 10c refunds to Queenslanders! Watch the video below to hear from our COEX team and why we’re proud to be part of the change.

The Role: As our Network Lead, you’ll oversee operations in the Brisbane North region, fostering strong relationships with external operators and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant service delivery. Reporting to our Network Manager, you’ll play a key part in driving engagement, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, customer experience, and operational outcomes across the network.

  • Act as the key link between COEX and network operators, ensuring strong partnerships and consistent service delivery.
  • Drive operational performance by monitoring KPIs, resolving issues, and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance and safety in your region through audits, standard operating procedures and proactive risk management strategies.
  • Support network growth through proactive engagement, data-driven insights and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Oversee communication, administration, and cost management to support smooth operations and sustainable growth.

Who You Are: Our values are at the heart of our culture. We’re looking for people who share these and are eager to be part of a team that brings them to life. You share our passion for sustainability and bring:

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and drive performance outcomes, ideally with experience in recycling, environmental or related industries.
  • Strong technical skills in data analysis, compliance and WHSE principles, with a track record of implementing process improvements.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, coupled with high attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborative and professional communicator who role models COEX values, inspires positive culture, and delivers outstanding customer service.
  • Eligibility to hold a Blue Card.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory criminal history check.

COEX has been certified™ by Great Place To Work Australia, a recognition that reflects both the incredible culture and passion our team brings every day. We are also very proud to have achieved official Inclusive Employer status, awarded by Diversity Council Australia

How to Apply: If you’re ready to join one of QLD’s most impactful environmental initiatives, we want to hear from you.
