Job Description

Dexian Government Solutions is seeking a Network Lead for a proposal effort supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) Unclassified Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) program in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Position Overview

The Network Lead will provide technical leadership and operational oversight for enterprise network services supporting the F-35 JPO's unclassified IT environment. This role will oversee network administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization to ensure secure, reliable connectivity. The Network Lead will coordinate network personnel and collaborate with government stakeholders, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity personnel, and service providers to maintain network availability and support mission requirements.

Job Duties

  • Lead daily network operations, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and service restoration activities.
  • Oversee configuration and administration of routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Coordinate network personnel, assign priorities, monitor performance, and serve as the escalation point for complex network incidents.
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and connections to enterprise services.
  • Monitor network availability, performance, bandwidth utilization, and capacity; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, connectivity, latency, packet loss, and other network performance issues.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to maintain network security controls, address vulnerabilities, and support approved remediation activities.
  • Oversee network device patching, firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and equipment refresh activities.
  • Plan and execute network changes through established change management processes, including implementation, validation, and rollback procedures.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for outages and recurring incidents; document findings and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain network diagrams, device configurations, IP address records, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with telecommunications carriers, vendors, and service providers to resolve connectivity issues and support service delivery.
  • Support network resiliency, disaster recovery planning, and testing of redundant connections and failover capabilities.
  • Provide network status reports, performance metrics, risk assessments, and technical recommendations to program leadership and government stakeholders.
  • Support planned maintenance windows and incident response activities outside normal business hours when required.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level network engineers and oversee network control center activities.
  • Develop complex network designs spanning multiple technologies; evaluate new network technologies and recommend integration approaches to program leadership.
  • Translate mission requirements into telecommunications requirements, designs, and orders for LAN, MAN, WAN, voice, and video services; plan hardware, interfaces, and communications facilities to support implementation.
  • Establish and enforce network policies, procedures, standards, and security controls aligned with program objectives and applicable INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
  • Evaluate hardware, software, and telecommunications products; support acquisition recommendations and train users on network operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Meet ITES Senior/Lead education and experience requirements: a bachelor's degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience. A bachelor's degree remains the minimum education requirement.
  • Experience performing complex network designs across multiple technologies, evaluating new technologies, and planning their integration for optimal network performance.
  • Experience translating mission and business needs into LAN, MAN, WAN, voice, and video telecommunications requirements and designs, including applicable INFOSEC and COMSEC requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and enterprise network connectivity.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLANs, switching, access control lists, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience leading network personnel or coordinating network operations and technical projects.
  • Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve availability and performance issues.
  • Knowledge of network security, configuration management, change management, and incident management practices.
  • Experience maintaining network documentation and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule and report onsite in Arlington, VA, as required by the program.
