We are seeking an experienced Network Inspector to join our Connect Hamilton Team in Hamilton City. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the road network through effective inspection, fault identification, and data management.

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Reporting to the Asset & Planning Manager, the Network Inspector is responsible for delivering a robust network inspection regime across carriageway and corridor assets. You’ll identify and prioritise defects, recommend treatment solutions, and ensure contract requirements and performance measures are consistently achieved.
You will work closely with operational teams, asset managers, and emergency response crews, including supporting the network during extreme weather events.
Key responsibilities

Proven experience in network inspection and fault identification, ideally within roading or maintenance contracts
Strong knowledge of maintenance intervention strategies and treatment selection
Competency using tablets and AWM Tablets / AWM systems
Well-developed planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
A genuine commitment to Zero Harm and leading by example in safety and compliance
