J T4 Point Mugu is seeking a Network Field Engineer. The role is responsible for providing Wide Area Network technical and engineering support for deployed systems branch. Tasks will include maintaining end-to-end device configuration, troubleshooting/testing transport/long-haul connectivity, implementing new network architecture designs and configurations, and documentation of network changes.
JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Range Requirements
-- Essential Functions/Duties
Provide Wide Area Network technical and engineering support for Deployed Systems Branch, RangeLynx IPT. Support will include: maintaining end-to-end device configuration, troubleshooting/testing transport/long-haul connectivity, implementing new network architecture designs and configurations, and documentation of network changes.
Needs experience in highly resilient, low latency, redundant network designs, infrastructure and configurations for data and voice. Must be able to achieve these goals via hardware, software, layer 2, and/or layer 3.
Needs experience in configuring routing and switch policies, Quality of Service (QoS), Access Control Lists (ACLs), traffic identification and selection, traffic policing.
Must have understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 address planning, encapsulation techniques, switching, routing, and higher-level service and application protocols
Must be skilled in dynamic routing protocols, route policies, infrastructure hardening, Spanning-Tree, VLANS, Tunnels, VRFs, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VPN (IPSec, SSL) and network security.
Must have knowledge on how to configure networks to support end-to-end transport of Multicast and Unicast traffic.
Must be willing to create new network drawings and rack elevations or update existing drawings to document any changes or updates to network the architecture.
Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience
An associate's degree in engineering or formal academic/vocational training, or military equivalent and four or more years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this position.
• Minimum 3 years managing and supporting networks.
• Active professional networking certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA).
• Must have (or be willing to obtain) Security+ certification.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Ranges supported by JT4 include the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC) at Schriever Air Force Base, the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), the Air Force Test Center 412th Test Wing (412TW) at Edwards Air Force Base, and the Navy China Lake Ranges (CLR) including Pt. Mugu, California.
JT4 is supported by several teammate companies on the J-Tech II Contract. Together we develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments. We prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and air crews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
