In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
Expertise in network architecture, advanced troubleshooting, and vendor-specific technologies will be crucial in driving our network infrastructure forward and our customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale, enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and data centre networks.
- Knowledge in wifi heatmap.
- Lead the planning, configuration, and implementation of network hardware, software, and protocols.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
- Monitor network performance, traffic, and security to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, or performance degradation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement network architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Conduct network capacity planning and provide recommendations for network expansion and scalability.
- Configure and optimise network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network appliances.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and advancements in network engineering to propose innovative solutions and improve network performance.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise in network engineering.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to network infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, diploma or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a T3 network engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on network architecture and advanced troubleshooting.
- Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Strong understanding of network security principles, including firewall configurations, access control lists (ACLs), and intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Extensive experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, meraki, Fortinet, checkpoint, Juniper, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools, such as SolarWinds, Nagios, centreon, or Wireshark.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- French-speaking candidates and the ability to work during French business hours
