Job Description


Jovian Concepts, LLC is looking
to hire a Network Engineer Level 2 for a great opportunity in the
Annapolis Junction area.


A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from
the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time.


The ideal candidate will perform
network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and
upgrading of existing networks. Analyzes design, specifications, and related
documents. Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions
and cutovers. Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve
network or system incidents. Translates business requirements into
telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs
and orders. Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in
support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement
design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Assists
telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and
telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.


Requirements


Position Requirements:


  • A current and active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph from the MD Customer is required. No CCA's will be accepted at this time

    .

  • The
    ideal candidate for this position must have significant Cisco and Arista
    Configuration and sustainment experience. Familiar with Netapp, SafeNet, and Visio, while supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance.


Qualifications:


  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science,
    Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related
    discipline from an accredited college or university. Six (6) years of
    relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and
    training commensurate with network engineering
    curriculum.

  • In
    lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree from an
    accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science,
    Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related
    discipline and an additional two (2) years of relevant professional
    experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of eight (8)
    years.

  • In
    lieu of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree an additional six (6) years
    experience providing Network Engineering support and a Certification in an
    industry standard (Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network
    Associate, or Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud,
    Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, Service
    Provider Routing and Switching)) may be substituted for a total of 12
    years.

  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as
    defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
