This is a hands-on, technically demanding role supporting critical data center and enterprise network infrastructure across physical and logical layers. You will be part of a fast-paced, high-availability environment where accuracy, reliability, and technical excellence are essential.

Core Objective


The candidate will be responsible for the
end-to-end physical deployment and logical validation of network infrastructure

, ensuring seamless alignment between physical connectivity and logical network configuration. You will troubleshoot across
OSI Layers 1, 2, and 3

, supporting mission-critical enterprise environments.


Requirements


Key Responsibilities


1. Advanced Device Racking & Mounting


  • Interpret Rack Elevation Diagrams (REDs) for high-density equipment installation (Cisco Nexus 9K, Catalyst 9500, etc.)

  • Ensure safe rack installation, weight distribution, and hardware stability

  • Perform dual power feed (A/B) connections and power verification tests


2. Structured Cabling & Fiber Management


  • Handle Single Mode (SMF) and Multi-Mode (MMF) fiber installations and maintenance

  • Clean and inspect fiber connectors using professional tools (IBC cleaners, fiber scopes)

  • Install and troubleshoot SFP/SFP+/QSFP/QSFP28 modules, verifying wavelength and signal integrity

  • Execute structured cabling and labeling per ANSI/TIA-606-B standards


3. Patch Panels & Cross-Connects


  • Manage copper (RJ45) and fiber (LC/SC/MPO) patching

  • Perform circuit extensions via Telco and Meet-Me-Room (MMR) cross-connects

  • Use Visual Fault Locators (VFL) for path tracing and validation

  • Support media conversion where required


4. Remote Management & Console Access


  • Configure Out-of-Band (OOB) management using terminal servers (Opengear, Lantronix, Cisco ISR)

  • Troubleshoot serial connections, baud rates, and console access issues

  • Provide local hands-on support for boot-level diagnostics when required


5. Advanced Networking Support (L1–L3)


  • Strong understanding of Ethernet, Gigabit, Serial, and high-speed fiber networks (10/20/40G, DWDM)

  • Install and troubleshoot Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, and F5 environments

  • Configure and validate VLANs, STP, VTP, and port mirroring

  • Identify and resolve broadcast storms and physical loop issues

  • Support L3 routing validation (SVIs, routed ports, IP addressing)

  • Verify BGP/OSPF adjacency after changes or circuit handoffs

  • Configure and troubleshoot LACP / EtherChannel setups


Required Experience & Skills


  • 6–8 years of experience in Data Center or large enterprise campus environments

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, F5 infrastructure

    • SFP, QSFP, NIM, PIC modules and related hardware

  • Proficiency with network diagnostic tools:

    • VFL, light meters, fiber inspection scopes

  • Strong command-line skills (Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Arista EOS, PAN-OS)

  • Experience handling mission-critical incidents in enterprise/data center networks

  • CCNA certification required; CCNP (ENCORE) highly preferred

  • Strong communication skills in English and local language
