Network Engineer II
We are seeking a full-time Network Engineer II for our Network Engineering Team. This role will be a contributor on the team of Network Engineers who are responsible for all network deployment projects, CAF network design, wireless access point design, evaluation of all new wireless and GPON technologies, CPE standards, creating method of procedures (MOPS) for change management, capacity management of access points and network circuits, creating power standards, and maintaining the management network. Core design, deployment and administration is owned by the Engineering Department.
Essential Job Functions
• Network design and planning with an emphasis on core, edge, and distribution architecture
• Documentation of design projects
• Coordination with NOC for network deployment projects
• Standards Documentation
• Business Cases development and evaluation
• Method of Procedure creation for network design changes
• Acceptance Testing and Vendor Evaluation
• Work with peers to identify issues within the network
• Quickly diagnose, prioritize, & troubleshoot internal/external issues
• Comply with the Wisper Core Values
• Work with Network Engineering Manager to ensure the Engineering team is adhering to improving processes
• Other related duties as directed
Job Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of either wireless, networking, or xPON experience with an emphasis on design & planning
• Regular & predictable attendance required
• Legally authorized to work in country of employment without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status, now or in the future

• Ability to demonstrate personal accountability; be punctual for appointments & meetings
• GPON or XG(S)-PON experience
• IPv6, MPLS, VPLS & BGP proficiency
• Cisco, Juniper or OcNOS skills
• Advanced RouterOS experience
• Traffic Engineering experience
• WISP or FISP experience preferred
