A Day in the Life:
The Network Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient network infrastructures that seamlessly integrate both on-premises and cloud-based environments. This position requires equal mastery of conventional networking technologies and cloud platforms, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable connectivity across diverse workloads. Special attention is given to core networking protocols, DNS management, as well as advanced cloud systems such as AWS.
What You’ll Do:
Design, implement, and manage network architectures for both traditional on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring robust connectivity and performance.
Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs for enterprise-level security and availability.
Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot DNS infrastructure, including internal and external DNS services, addressing resolution and management for hybrid networks.
Deploy and manage networking services within AWS, including VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53, ensuring seamless interoperability with traditional networking.
Monitor network performance across all platforms and swiftly resolve connectivity or configuration issues, whether cloud-based or on-premises.
Automate network provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation, Terraform), balancing automated cloud deployments with reliable physical network management.
Collaborate with architects, developers, and information security teams to deliver networking solutions that satisfy both legacy and modern infrastructure requirements.
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory frameworks across all network systems.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for network and DNS resources, both cloud and on-premises.
Stay current with advances in networking, DNS, and cloud technologies; propose enhancements to existing systems for greater efficiency and security.

The starting salary is expected to be around $95,000. Actual salary will commensurate with experience.
